Concern For Those Whom We Love

Here is a poem that I like to pray out for those that are struggling and can't seem to find the way:

ICE-COLD HEARTS

And so, for ice-cold hearts we pray,
Who hear and heed not, will not move
To come to Thee, nor look Thy way--
     Although Thou art all love.

O melt their snowfield, Love Divine--
What is there that Thou canst not do?
Thou who hast melted even mine:
     Dear Savior, melt theirs too.

  1. Hi Suzanne--I've landed here wanting to thank you for the comment you left at my blog today. And in this Amy Carmichael poem I've found yet another blessing! Here is a cut and paste of my reply to your comment--I felt unsure whether you would see it as a reply on my blog: I hope you see this reply to your comment, Suzanne, because you have encouraged me today. I've listened to the hymn "All the Way My Savior Leads Me" and have been so blessed. The Youtube version I found begins with a quote from Fanny Crosby that begins "Oh what a happy soul I am though I cannot see..." Only the Lord could know that I would find this quote and encouraging hymn on a day when I'm worried about my eyesight! Thank you so much for taking your time to comment. Looking forward to meeting you someday as we look forward together for His appearing!
